Lightning strike against Women's Basketball Huskies

The Keyano Huskies Women's Basketball team were felled by the visiting St. Mary's Lightning in a 57-39 score Friday at the Syncrude Sport & Wellness Centre. 

Jaylynn Twin led the Huskies with 10 points, while Danika Cadieux and Sydney Fraess were closebehind with eight and seven points respectively. 

The visiting Lightning led 15-7 after thefirst quarter and 32-18 at the half. The Huskies managed to win the fourth quarter 13-8 to cut the deficit to 18 by the final whistle. 

Twin was two rebounds shy of a double-double in Friday's performance. Rookie Skylar Lalonde had six rebounds off the bench, the second-most on the team. 

Up next for the Huskies is a home date against the Ambrose Lions Saturday, November 29. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:00pm.
