Keyano Huskies announce hiring of Jason Moist as new Women’s Soccer/Futsal Head Coach
Keyano College Huskies Athletics today announced the hiring of Jason Moist as the program’s new Women’s Soccer/Futsal Head Coach and Game Day Coordinator.
“It was a chance to work in the Women’s game,” Moist said. “I’ve always been a huge proponent of Women’s soccer. That’s where I’ve done most of my coaching.
“Secondly, it was a chance to do something different outside of Manitoba, yet still stay on the Prairies.”
Moist joins the Huskies after previously holding the Head Coach role for the Women’s Soccer and Futsal programs at Canadian Mennonite University in the Manitoba Colleges Athletic Conference (MCAC) and Assistant Coach for Women’s Soccer with the University of Winnipeg.
He has also worked in the game of soccer as a Youth Academy Coach with Valour FC and as a Technical Lead Coach with Manitoba Soccer, representing the majority of his 16 years of coaching experience.
“Jason brings a wealth of expertise that will be invaluable to our student-athletes,” said Jonathan Lambert, Keyano College’s Director, Athletics & Recreation. “His extensive background at both the collegiate and university levels, combined with his commitment to continuous professional growth, aligns perfectly with our vision for excellence in athletics.”
Moist currently holds a National B License through the Canadian Soccer Association (CSA) as well as the United States Soccer Federation (USSF). He also holds a National Youth License and National Youth Goalkeeping License through the CSA.
Moist will immediately begin recruitment for the 2025-26 academic year.
